We have several staff positions available. They include:
Editorial Interns – Editorial Interns will be responsible for either pitching stories or completing assigned stories in the section of their choice. Interns with the help of the editorial team will gather sources and information, conduct interviews, and produce articles varying in length and style for the readers of the UB Post.
Media Production Interns – Production interns will work closely with the Communications and Marketing Director to capture and provide finalized photos and videos for campus events, promotional reels, compelling stories, student-made podcasts, and other various events for the Post’s website and social media. This includes the possibility of being asked to capture photos and footage at off-campus events.
Public Relations Interns – Public Relations interns will be responsible for building and maintaining the brand of the UB Post while also providing support for engagement growth strategies. Responsibilities include tasks from areas such as graphic design, social media, and marketing. Interns with the help from the communications staff will produce graphics, gather information, and prepare events for followers of the UB Post.
Contributing Graphic Designers/Website Design – While working in our communications department, designers are asked to create designs for digital banners, blurbs, flyers, and other promotional services for the UB Post website and social media. Designers are asked to provide input to redesign the “UB Post” brand, while also promoting our website and social media. They are free to submit any work within our platforms (website, Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook), before being approved by the Director of Communications and Marketing.
Contributing Photographer/Videographer – While working in our communications department, photographers/videographers are asked to capture upcoming events, student life, and other promotions around campus. This group provides input to redesign the “UB Post” brand, while also promoting our website and social media. They are also to submit any work within our platforms (website, Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook), before being approved by the Director of Communications and Marketing.
Contributing Public Relations – Work in our communications department. PR specialists are asked to collect data in order to broaden our target market and gain more awareness for our brand. They are also asked to provide input to redesign the “UB Post” brand, while promoting our website and social media.
